This summer, students will learn the fundamentals of digital photography in a fun, creative, and professional studio environment. Designed for beginners and amateur photographers, this academy introduces students to camera basics, manual mode, lighting, portrait photography, editing, creative vision, and entrepreneurship.
Students will gain real hands-on experience, build confidence behind the camera, and begin developing their own creative voice.

Donavan McIntosh is a professional photographer and the founder of Oneofakind Photography. With over 10 years of photography experience, Donavan is passionate about helping young creatives develop real camera skills, build confidence, and see photography as more than just taking pictures.
Through this academy, students will receive practical guidance, hands-on training, and mentorship from someone who understands both the creative and business side of photography.

$200 non-refundable deposit is required to secure each student’s seat. Early Bird tuition is available until July 3rd, 2026.
Students receive access to all academy sessions covering camera basics, manual mode, lighting, portrait photography, editing, posing, business basics, and creative development.
Students will practice what they learn through guided shooting assignments in the studio and during selected outdoor practice sessions.
Students will be introduced to Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and learn how to select, refine, and prepare their best images.
Students will work toward creating a mini photography portfolio that showcases their strongest images from the academy.
Students will hear from selected guest speakers who will share practical advice, creative insight, and real-world experience.
Students will receive a workbook or guide to help them follow along with lessons, take notes, and remember key photography concepts.
Each student will receive a certificate of completion after successfully participating in the academy.
Students will have the opportunity to showcase selected work during a final exhibition experience for parents and invited guests.
